Red Hatter Grandma gets run over by reindeer! A member of the Ramblin’ Roses (Pensacola, Florida) was trampled by a team of wild reindeer at the chapter’s annual Christmas party. They left their footprints all over the poor woman! Is that Rudolph in the red nose?

“Grease-y” Holiday Float The Southern Belles of Boca Raton (Florida), led by Queen Charlotte Beasley, came up with quite an elaborate float, built around the musical, “Grease.” They wore purple poodle skirts, purple sweaters with red poodles and saddle shoes and danced to music from the musical. They were seen that evening on the news, practicing the twist and decorating their float.

Trading boas for paintbrushes? When Queen Carolyn Furcolow (Tallahassee Lassies – Tallahassee, Florida) learned that there was a need for volunteers to work on Habitat’s 25th Anniversary House she contacted her own members and those from other local chapters, asking who might want to spend some time helping out.

“Splendido, Signora!” Queen Henrika Prescott ( Panama Red Hats & Purple Parasols, Panama City, Florida) says that the Red Hat Society has opened up the world of travel to her. On her first trip abroad (to Italy) she wore her red hat while riding in a gondola on a Venetian canal. Amazingly, an Italian Red Hatter passed her, going the other direction, in another gondola! Henrika yelled “Red Hat Society forever!” and was answered, “Splendido, signora!”
